You already realise why the Big Boxer is called exactly that when you start it up. You can feel the vast displacement on every metre along the way. With its typical boxer power development you can rely on at minimum 150 Nm between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. The impressive torque and unspoilt responsiveness guarantee fully fledged pleasure in the long term – relaxed, but never boring. You can comfortably eat up the miles on the R 18 Transcontinental: Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) and optional Active Cruise Control independently control the speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead. Furthermore three riding modes, Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and dynamic engine brake control (MSR) guarantee more safety as standard. Reverser, Hill Start Control and central locking system for cases and topcase optionally guarantee even more convenience per kilometre covered.
